F1 | Gene Haas: “The new car has a distinctive look”

Haas was the first team to drop the veils of the new single-seater, presenting during the morning the livery of the VF-19 which will compete in the 2019 Formula One World Championship.

Speaking about the car, which features a black and gold color, completely different from previous American single-seaters, by virtue of the sponsorship agreement with Rich Energy, Gene Haas declared: “This is the time of the season when you hope to have the right plans and be competitive straight away. The new car has a distinctive look, not only in terms of colors but also due to the new rules. We hope that the design changes made for 2019 will improve performance on the track and, more importantly, give us a greater impact in every GP".

Team principal Gunther Steiner instead said: “It's important to continue to grow as a team and this season is no exception. Our partnership with Rich Energy is another positive example of moving forward as an organization. We are happy to see their colors on the VF-19. 2018 was our best season to date, although we still have areas to improve. Our next step is to get to Spain and use the time available wisely to prepare for the Australian GP".
