F1 | Gasly enthusiastic about next season: “I wanted this move to Red Bull”

Pierre Gasly is not afraid of facing Max Verstappen during the next Formula 1 world championship.

In an interview given to Infosport, in fact, the Dutchman outlined the objectives for 2019, underlining how his focus, at least during the first months of the year, will be to find his role at inside the team, observing and learning as many things as possible from his teammate.

Gasly, precisely in this sense, believes that with work and patience you can achieve truly important results in Formula 1, especially if you can count on the support of a competitive team like the Austrian one behind you. An important opportunity that the Frenchman absolutely does not want to let slip through his hands.

Here are the assessments of the former Toro Rosso driver: “I'm not afraid for my place within the team. I know Max has a strong character and is entrenched by the team, but I will try to do my best. I'm not like Danielo or Max, since I have my own personality and my own strong points. I will need time to take first place within the team."

“Personally I can't wait to start this new adventure”, he added. “It's a huge step in my career and it's exactly what I wanted. I have great ambitions in Formula 1, as my dream has always been to become world champion. I managed to learn a lot this year, but at the same time I realize I have a long way to go."
