"If what they say about their chassis is true, next year they will be quite strong"
A possible return to the glories of McLaren worries Sergio Perez , Force India. In 2018, in fact, the Woking team, by virtue of the motorization Renault, could overturn the hierarchies and "snatch" the role of fourth force in the World Cup from the Indian team: “Renault will be a threat, but the team I'm most worried about is McLaren" – said Perez. “If what they say about their chassis is true, McLaren will be quite strong next year. There will be Renaults, McLarens and Williams, so it won't be easy for us.".
The Mexican driver, therefore, is aware of the difficulties that Force India could encounter next year, but at the same time ready to surprise again: “We have good potential. Since I've been part of this team people have always underestimated us, but look where we are now". Barring sensational reversals in these last races of the season, Force India will close the constructors' championship for the second consecutive year at fourth, behind Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull.
