F1 | Force India, Perez: “I'm confident”

The Indian team completed the first day of free practice at the >Sochi circuit, obtaining good feedback from both drivers.
Sergio Perez finished seventh in FP1, while in the second session he slipped to tenth position but still said he was satisfied with his car.

“Finding the balance on this track is not easy but I think we are in good shape and I am happy with the feeling with the car” declared Perez. “We have completed several laps with all tire compounds and there is a lot to analyse; I am confident that we can improve tomorrow. It will be a good battle and I'm sure we will be strong."

Esteban Ocon finished the first session in eleventh position, while in FP2 he finished in eleventh place. The Frenchman declared that the day's work was very useful in understanding how the car works: “It was a satisfying day” declared Ocon. “We are finally at the point where we understand better how the car works at this circuit and we know where we can make improvements. I felt comfortable in the car, especially in the second session and I managed to make the tires work, which is not easy at this track. There will be a lot to discuss tonight but overall I'm satisfied with what we achieved today and I hope we can continue like this throughout the weekend."
