F1 | Force India, Perez: “Always in the points in Singapore, I love road circuits”

A Singapore, for the eleventh time in 2017, the Force India aims to enter the points with both of its drivers. Sergio Perez in Marina Bay boasts an excellent score: six points finishes in as many races. “Singapore is definitely one of the toughest races of the season” – declared the Mexican. “The weather is very hot and humid: it's a good test for the riders. Sometimes you feel really uncomfortable in the car and you just want the race to end as soon as possible. It's difficult to breathe, you sweat a lot. I have scored points every time I have raced in Singapore and I hope I can extend my record. I love street circuits, in these there is no room for error: the wall is always next to you, one mistake and you're out. Our goal is obviously to score points in Singapore and in all the remaining races. We want to make sure we do our best to stay in fourth place in the constructors' championship.".

Esteban Ocon this is the second presence at Marina Bay in Formula 1, after the 2016 GP played with Manor and finished in 18th place: "There is something special about Singapore. Run under the lights, the atmosphere is unique” – said the French pilot. “On the other hand, it is a very physically demanding track. It's one of those tracks where the car has to be perfect, otherwise, if something is not in the right place, you will be forced to struggle a lot. For a street circuit, it's very fast. My favorite part is the twisty one in the central sector, where you are always close to the wall”.
