F1 | Force India, Perez: “We tested a lot of material”

The first day of free practice on Marina Bay Circuit, ended with both riders in the top 10. Seventh time for Sergio Perez  (sixth in FP1) and eighth Esteban Ocon (the latter did not take part in the first round to make way for George Russel).

Here are the statements of the Mexican pilot:

“We had a lot of test material to try on the car today. The first free practices were not very representative of the conditions we will find both in qualifying and in the race but what we saw in the second session makes me optimistic. The balance on the car is good and the race pace is competitive. There is still work to do but we start from a good base and if we can improve tonight, we should be in a good position tomorrow.".

Here are the Frenchman's statements:

“It's fantastic to come back here and ride under the lights. I'm happy with my session, the performance is good and the car works well. There is still room for improvement and if we do our homework well tonight, I think we can have the speed to confirm ourselves in our usual position tomorrow.".
