F1 | Force India, Ocon: “I'm very happy”

The Indian team concluded a very positive qualifying with both drivers in the top 10: Esteban Ocon he will start in sixth position; ninth Sergio Perez. Here are their statements:

Stephen Ocon: “I feel very happy. Today we demonstrated our strength as a team and are sixth on the grid in Monaco. It is the most important qualifying session of the year and we have a great opportunity to score important points tomorrow. The team has put a lot of work into improving the car by making updates at each race and it is really paying off. My lap in Q3 didn't feel like the best of the weekend, but the car was working well and the lap time was there. I'm not getting excited because there's a long way to go tomorrow. We still have to do a good job in the race, stay out of trouble and bring the car home.".

Sergio Perez: “It was a very intense qualifying session, a good result for the team as a whole. I'm very happy with my work in Q1 and Q2: my laps were perfect, perhaps the best of the weekend. In Q3, I lost a bit of feeling with the car, but even then I was less than a tenth from sixth place. It was such a small margin but it will make a big difference on the grid tomorrow. I'm happy with how much we improved the car after free practice. Esteban did a fantastic job and our pace gives me confidence for tomorrow. The race will be long and anything can happen. We need to see how the hypersoft tires perform in the race, especially if the weather is hot. The most important thing is to keep our race clean and see where we finish.".
