F1 | Force India, Ocon: “We can be competitive”

Satisfactory qualification for the Indian team with both drivers in the top 10: Esteban Ocon is sixth, while his teammate, Sergio Perez he will start tenth. 

Stephen Ocon: “I'm very satisfied with my performance, it's fantastic to be sixth on the grid, the best of the group; however, it was a tough qualifying. In Q3 my lap was very fast and the car worked very well. For the race the objective is to stay where we are and bring home some points. The race pace is uncertain after yesterday's conditions but I think we can be competitive".

Sergio Perez: “Qualifying tenth is disappointing because we had the potential to do more. My first attempt in Q1 was good but when I pitted, we discovered a lot of damage on the right side of the car, the floor and the bargeboards. We tried to fix them with the time we had available but we weren't completely successful. From then on my car behaved differently and affected the balance. I struggled a lot in Q2 and Q3. The car definitely had potential, as Esteban showed, so it's a shame we didn't do more. Our goal for the race is to make up ground. We have a car that can do that, so let's see what opportunities come our way.".
