F1 | Force India, Ocon: “The feeling with the car is fantastic”

The Indian team concluded the qualification on the circuit Montreal with a top 10: Esteban Ocon he will start eighth, his teammate tenth, Sergio Perez.

Stephen Ocon: “I'm happy to have finished eighth today. I had a fantastic feeling with the car and we are improving every session. The work last night and in the third free practice session paid off and we have made great progress in preparing for qualifying. So I have to say a big “thank you” to the team because we are making really good progress with this car. I think everything is at stake for the race: we are often stronger with race pace, so tomorrow's job is to try to get in front of Hulkenberg and bring home some important points.".

Sergio Perez: “I'm a little disappointed to have finished behind the Renaults, but I'm still confident that I can fight with them in the race. Our set-up was completely race oriented and I felt it was very difficult to get a clean track lap. For the race, however, we should have an advantage and the opportunity to score good points. The first stint will be very important: the degradation is quite high here and we need to make sure we manage the hypersoft and don't have to make a pit stop too early. The cars starting outside the top ten will have better rubber and we will have to beat them if we want our strategy to work. This is what we've worked for and hopefully it works in our favor.".
