F1 | Force India, Ocon: “Nice to score the first points in Formula One”

Seventh and tenth position for Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon in the Australian Grand Prix, the opening round of the 2017 Formula One World Championship. The Mexican from Force India finished a race without too much risk, taking home the first important points of the season. A different story however for the Frenchman, who put up a good fight with Nico Hulkenberg and Fernando Alonso.

Here are the words of Esteban Ocon: “It's been a difficult weekend and scoring our first points in Formula One is a great reward. I spent almost the entire race fighting against Alonso and managing to pass him wasn't easy, especially when he was on the super softs. He is a difficult opponent to face, but in the end I found a gap and managed to take tenth position. I'm happy with the result and I think I learned a lot during this weekend in Australia."

Here are Checo Perez's impressions: “I am very satisfied with the result and I don't think anything more could have been done. Seventh place was the best we could achieve and the team had to make all the right calls to achieve this result. We used the strategy to make up ground and thanks to this we played for the position on Kvyat and Sainz by finishing in front. Driving these cars is quite fun and I think it will get better as the season continues."
