F1 | Force India, Mallya: “Perez away only because of a call from Ferrari”

In an interview given during the last British Grand Prix, Vijay Mallya spoke about the line-up for the next season, underlining how Esteban Ocon will certainly remain within the Indian team. A different story however for Sergio Perez: the Mexican has not yet made his intentions for the future known, but the Indian manager explained how he would consider a farewell to Force India only in the event of a call from Ferrari. Perez, we recall, began his career in the FDA.

Here are the words of Vijay Mallya: “Ocon also has a contract with us for 2018. As for Perez, however, we are waiting for his decision. In any case he would leave Force India only for a call from Ferrari. However, our goal is to maintain the same line-up in the next championship."
