F1 | Ferrari, Vettel: “Complicated Friday, but I felt comfortable in the car”
"Qualifying will be very tight, our rivals will also be very fast," underlined the four-time world champion
Sebastian Vettel he finished in second place on Friday's free practice for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. In FP2 in Baku the German achieved his best performance in 1'43"196 (time obtained using soft tyres, ed.), being three tenths behind teammate and session leader Charles Leclerc.
The four-time world champion, commenting on today, declared: “It was a rather complicated Friday, because we couldn't do much lapping and the track was slippery and dirty. It was fun though, it took a while to get into the rhythm but overall I felt comfortable in the car".
Vettel then added: “Tomorrow we will probably have more elements to give us a clearer idea of the values on the field, because if it is true that I felt good behind the wheel, it is also true that there is certainly still room for improvement. Tomorrow we will work again because it is essential to get into the rhythm, get in maximum harmony with the car and have total confidence with the track. I think qualifying will be very tight, because I imagine our rivals will also be very fast tomorrow".
