The Ferrari driver, after a first part of the interview in which he spoke about the contact with Sainz and how he experienced the first weekend of 2020, he returned to the non-renewal with the Scuderia, his reaction and the future, which is still not defined, but which will have answers in the coming weeks. “I don't think the Coronavirus has had an impact on my future at Ferrari – Vettel said. There was also some speculation that we couldn't agree on the financial aspect, but that wasn't a problem at all, in fact, it wouldn't be. I called Helmut Marko immediately after receiving the news, not because I wanted to negotiate a contract, but because I get along very well with him, I asked him for advice and explained everything. This is a new situation for me: it is important to find something that brings me joy, not money. But I'm also competitive, motorsport is my life. With the right lenses I would still feel at home inside a car. However, I haven't made a decision yet: it's important to find an environment that suits me. In many respects they have been five wonderful years, but they have taken a lot of energy away from me. I accept Ferrari's decision, there will be no problems: despite this I will continue to carry out my task, and unlike last weekend I will do a better job for the team."
