F1 | Ferrari, Vettel: “Renewal? There's still enough time to talk about it."

Discussing with the journalists present at the press conference following the presentation of the new Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel he stated in all honesty that there is no rush regarding his future. In fact, the German's contract expires at the end of 2020, even if this evening Cavallino team principal Mattia Binotto has opened up to the possibility of renewal.

"I'm still young, I would like to continue racing – admitted Seb -. Three years ago I didn't have a contract until August, it doesn't change much. At some point I think we will have to decide on the future, but I think there is still enough time".

Then speaking about the tests, scheduled for 19 to 21 and 26 to 28 February on the Catalan Montmeló track, the German added: “They are very important for understanding the car and finding the setup that works not only in Barcelona but also on the other tracks. After the first three races we will know where we will be. Last year we had a good feeling in the tests but then it was quite tough to get to Australia and we weren't where we thought we would be. Regardless of what happens in the Tests, we will have to remain cautious ahead of Australia".

On the new season: “I hope my opponent is Leclerc, this would mean that our car would be the strongest. But I think our main antagonists will be Hamilton and Verstappen".
