F1 | Ferrari, Vettel: “The grip has improved with the new asphalt”

Sebastian Vettel he closed the Friday at Silverstone, which opened the weekend of the British Grand Prix, taking the fourth fastest time. In FP2 the German was in fact preceded by the two Mercedes and Charles Leclerc's twin Ferrari, paying two and a half tenths from the latter.

Vettel, taking stock of today, declared: “It's nice to be back driving on this circuit: the new asphalt seems much more homogeneous than the previous one, the grip is greater and consequently also the pleasure and fun behind the wheel".

Analyzing the performances that have emerged so far on the track he said: “I don't think today's times are very representative, as often happens on Friday, but it seems clear to me that our main rivals are very strong and can be the reference for the weekend. Our performances seem similar to those of Red Bull, but it is not easy to express a judgment also because we have tested some parts on our car. We have to wait until tomorrow to find out more".
