F1 | Ferrari, Vettel: “It was one of the best Fridays. Qualifying and the start will be very important."

Mogyorod – The best way to Scuderia Ferrari to honor Sergio Marchionne and reacting to the tragic events of the week is to focus on the work to be done this weekend. Sebastian Vettel e Kimi Raikkonen they are aware of this and the whole team did their best on the first day of testing at the Hungaroring, a commitment evident in an interesting pace both in the fast laps and in the long runs. But it's only Friday and the real challenge will begin tomorrow on the 4.381 km of the hot track just a few miles from Budapest.

“I was happy with the afternoon session” –  Seb said – “more than this morning. I think the car is performing well even on the single lap. We can still improve, but this it was one of the best Fridays so farfrom a technical point of view. Having a lot of work ahead of us is perhaps the best thing to keep our heads busy and face the weekend. It's not easy, but I focused on the work at hand. On this track, qualifying and the start are very important and can make the difference because it is difficult to overtake. Being in the lead after the first corners is crucial, but there is a lot of work to do before we get to that point.".

“It was a normal Friday.” – commented Kimi – “We tried to do our job and learn as much as we could. The conditions weren't very easy in many ways, but that's normal on a Friday. Let's not pay too much attention to the times, since they don't count in a free practice session. Of course there is still some work to do, but it wasn't bad and the car ran as well as we expected. We hope to have the speed we need tomorrow".
