The German, analyzing the first part of the season, declared: “In these races we have not been a point of reference and therefore we will not start as favorites in Barcelona. The mood within the team is good, it will be essential for us to reverse the trend. However, I am proud of the level shown by the team, the season is still long".
Vettel, continuing with his discussion, added: “We need to improve our pace, becoming faster. We need to get the tires into the right window, like our opponents do. Especially on a track like this you need the right confidence with the single-seater. At the moment I can't drive at my best because the car doesn't respond to my style. It's a feeling common to all pilots. The tests went well, but a lot of time has passed since then. We need to look ahead and improve the management of things and also the way we work: this is what we must do".
