F1 | Ferrari-Vasseur, announcement by the end of 2022

For the German broadcaster Sport1 there would be no more doubts: Frederic Vasseur will in fact take the place of Mattia Binotto as the new Ferrari team principal. The change between the Frenchman and the Italian-Swiss, who is formally still head of the Cavallino Sports Management even though he has already resigned, should already take place at the end of 2022.

Vasseur therefore, who in Ferrari will reunite with Charles Leclerc with whom he shared the experience in Sauber-Alfa Romeo in 2018, the year which marked the Monegasque's official debut in the Circus, will leave the Hinwil team in the coming weeks.

The Swiss team, which will conclude the partnership with the Biscione manufacturer at the end of 2023, is projected towards a future collaboration with Audi which will begin in 2026 in conjunction with the introduction of the new regulation on power units. It will be necessary to understand which figure will be in charge of Hinwil, "ferrying" it until the aforementioned date.
