F1 | Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel: “We still have room to improve”

All in all, a positive day for Sebastian Vettel, who seems to have found a bit of feeling again with the unfortunate SF1000 on the Sochi circuit. The four-time world champion managed to stay ahead of teammate Leclerc in the morning session, setting the ninth best time, on the medium compound, while in the afternoon he climbed to tenth position, this time on the soft compound.

"We will only have a reliable picture of the situation tomorrow, but overall today was a positive day – commented Sebastian at the end of the day – I believe there is still room for improvement even if I fear that in qualifying many cars will be very close together. Leaving aside the top two cars in the standings, you can understand why this Friday wasn't bad after all".

"Here in Russia it is never easy to put together a flawless lap, but tomorrow it will be essential to do so. Don't make mistakes when a few thousandths divide one car from the other can make the difference. This will be our main focus".
