The Spaniard eleventh in free practice at Spa: "It can rain at any time"

F1 | Ferrari, Sainz: “I enjoyed it today”

The best Ferrari of the day was that of Carlos Sainz, eleventh after free practice for the Belgian Grand Prix. The Maranello team's Friday therefore did not end in the best way, but today's two sessions may not be indicative in view of the rest of the weekend, with the weather forecast constantly changing and the complications that all the drivers are having on the historic Spa-Francorchamps track given the very cold temperatures.

“It's nice to be back on track, especially on a circuit like this which, behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car, always offers extraordinary sensations – Sainz said. I enjoyed it. In terms of performance, however, it wasn't the best of Fridays. We didn't have the opportunity to complete a real long run and even the work in the qualifying configuration wasn't perfect in terms of balance. We have a lot to do tonight but I'm confident we can improve and be in a more interesting position tomorrow. The weather is expected to be uncertain for Saturday and Sunday. Rain can start falling at any time, as we saw today during Formula 3 qualifying, so we will be prepared for any conditions."
