Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc took first and third times in the second free practice session of the Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza.

The two Scuderia Ferrari drivers started the session on Medium tires with which the Monegasque stopped the clocks at 1'22"307, while Carlos achieved 1'23"156, then dropping to 1'22"483 on the second attempt . After a red flag suspension caused by Mick Schumacher's stop on the track, Sainz and Leclerc returned to the track with Soft tyres: Carlos achieved 1'21"664 - best overall time - while Charles stopped at 1'21"857 . The Spaniard completed 24 laps, one more than his teammate.
