F1 | Ferrari, Sainz on the podium in Abu Dhabi: beaten Leclerc in the championship

Carlos Sainz concludes his first season in Ferrari in the best possible way. The Spaniard, thanks also to the sudden withdrawal of Perez, managed to gain a beautiful third position in Abu Dhabi, thus climbing onto the podium and confirming himself in fifth place in the drivers' championship ahead of Norris and Leclerc. A very positive weekend for the former Renault man, a nice boost of confidence ahead of next season.

“What a great way to end my first year with Scuderia Ferrari – Sainz said. We knew it would be a difficult race on the tire front but we used all the experience accumulated during the season to extend the life of my Softs in the first stint and then to take care of the Hards that I mounted at the pit stop until the checkered flag. . Concluding this first championship with the Scuderia with a podium, third place among the Constructors and fifth among the Drivers is the perfect way to approach the winter break. I want to thank our fans and the entire team, Charles, the management, every element of the racing team and all the people who work in the factory in Maranello for the welcome they have given me this year. In Ferrari I felt at home from day one and this, together with the effort made every day by everyone, was fundamental in improving race after race and finishing this championship so well.
