F1 | Ferrari, Raikkonen: “Suzuka is one of the favorite tracks among drivers”
On the 130 R: "With the F1 it's easier to ride in full flow, but it's still a nice curve", underlined the Finn
In the video preview of Japanese Grand Prix, published by Ferrari on its official website, Kimi Raikkonen analyzed the most technical points of the Suzuka track where Formula One will be on stage this weekend.
The Finn, who in 2005, at the time of McLaren, was the protagonist of a great comeback in the Japanese race which culminated in victory, said: “It's a favorite track among all the drivers, it's old school, really challenging".
On curve 1: “It's really fast. It's an incredible feeling to go full throttle and brake on the exit as Turn 2 approaches".
On the “S” in succession (curve 3-4-5): “One of the most beautiful sections of the World Championship, fast and with a change of direction from corner to corner. It's a unique feeling, especially in qualifying".
On the 130 R: “In qualifying with modern F1 cars it is easier to go full circle but it is still a nice corner, even if perhaps it has lost some of its magic".
