F1 | Ferrari, Raikkonen: “Monaco? I'm sorry not to have won, but I'm not angry."

Two weeks after the Monaco Grand Prix, Kimi Raikkonen returned to talk about the different strategy (early stop) compared to that of teammate Sebastian Vettel which allowed the latter to win the Monte Carlo race.

The Finn, who spoke from Montreal, home of the Canadian Grand Prix taking place this weekend on the semi-city track of Montreal, declared he will have no problem trusting the team with regards to future strategies: “Sometimes things don't go well, I'm not angry. Unfortunately on a track like Monaco it is difficult to overtake especially if you find yourself in front of lapped cars. Clearly I wasn't satisfied with second place (he started from pole, ed.), but Seb won and we finished in first and second place which was the target".

Raikkonen also clearly explained the sulking displayed on the Principality podium: “I wasn't happy with second place, I would have liked to win. It would have been worrying if I had celebrated that placing. I will smile when I get the result I expect".
