F1 | Ferrari, Raikkonen looks to the future: "In 2018 we will be even stronger"

In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Kimi Raikkonen spoke about his relationship with Sebastian Vettel, underlining how both are working for the good of Ferrari. In fact, it is no secret that the friendship that exists between the two and Kimi himself confirmed this, explaining how both drivers, off the track, work to bring the Scuderia back to the top. The Finn also spoke about the objectives for the 2018 season, revealing how the excellent performances of this championship bode well for the future.

The objective, in fact, will be to confirm itself at this year's levels, perhaps taking advantage of the experiences gained during the last world championship (clear reference to the reliability problems that are slowing down the drivers in 2017. ed.).

Here are the words of Kimi Raikkonen: “This year we have clearly taken the right direction in terms of development, carrying forward some good work. I am convinced that in 2018 we will be even stronger because we could take advantage of the great experience of this championship. The team is well cohesive and everything works well.

“There is an excellent relationship between me and Seb” he added. “I've known him since he arrived in Formula One and it would be stupid not to confirm our friendship. We respect each other and work together for the team, but obviously when we get on the track we are rivals. We want to beat each other and this pushes us to improve."

Raikkonen also spoke about his future, explaining that he still has no plans for 2019: “I don't know what I'll do, honestly I don't even know what awaits me next week. Maybe I'll start rallying again, but for now I feel like a Formula 1 driver. I have the feeling of being able to win races and world championships."
