F1 | Ferrari ready to mount the Shield system already in free practice at Silverstone?

According to what was reported by the well-known German newspaper "Auto Motor Und Sport", Ferrari could test the "Shield" safety system already in free practice for the British Grand Prix. The system, proposed by the International Federation to replace the much talked about Halo, was evaluated by the teams in Shanghai, setting a deadline for use set for the Italian Grand Prix, precisely after the return from the summer break.

Ferrari would like to get ahead of the curve by fitting it into the car before the summer to collect as much data as possible in view of 2018 development. The system would clearly be used by both drivers during the first free practice on Friday morning and a prototype studied would be fitted from the same Scuderia. Let's remember that in addition to Ferrari, McLaren would have asked the FIA to test the system, although, as far as the Woking Scuderia is concerned, to see the Shield we will have to wait until the Italian Grand Prix at the beginning of September.
