F1 | Ferrari plans an evolutionary step to the power unit for the Canadian GP

According to what was reported by "La Gazzetta dello Sport", Ferrari is planning a big evolutionary step to the power unit for the Canadian Grand Prix, an event scheduled in about a month. Mattia Binotto's staff, in fact, would be working on a substantial update package to the power unit which should give Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen around 15/20 horsepower.

A nice boost which, if confirmed, would help the German in the world fight with Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes. It should be noted, however, that all the engine manufacturers are planning an evolutionary package for the meeting in Montreal. According to what was reported by Auto Motor Und Sport, in fact, Mercedes has been working on something for several weeks and the same goes for Renault and Honda.

Furthermore, the latter will be kept under an eye by Red Bull, given that the final choice of engine engineer by Dietrich Mateschitz's team will depend on the results in Canada. According to some English sources, Honda could gain around 20 horsepower from the new evolutionary package. All we can do is wait for a Canadian Grand Prix which, more than ever this year, will be fundamental for all the teams on the grid.
