F1 | Ferrari, Leclerc loses the battle with Verstappen in the Sprint by a whisker

Pole position only tasted but not achieved by Charles Leclerc, second in the Imola Sprint Race after burning Verstappen at the start. The Dutch champion only managed to catch up with the Ferrari driver at the end, winning in front of the large crowd at the Imola racetrack, with the Monegasque aware that the big target to hit is tomorrow.

“During this Sprint we learned several things in view of tomorrow's race – Leclerc admitted. My start was very good and then I managed to get out of Max's (Verstappen) DRS zone by a margin that was leaving me calm until we started to have graining. Maybe we paid the price for pushing a little too much at the start of the race and this is one of the aspects we will have to work on tonight. If we manage to fix the car as we want, we can really compete tomorrow."
