Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel completed a further 66 laps (more than the 59 expected for the race) during the second free practice session of the Tuscan Grand Prix – Ferrari 1000, 27 with the Monegasque and 39 with the German.

Double red flag. The session was suspended twice with the red flag: first due to Lando Norris's (McLaren) accident and then following the contact in Turn 1 between Sergio Perez and Kimi Raikkonen. The interruptions partially affected the program of the two Scuderia drivers who made only one attempt at a qualifying lap, obtaining 1'18”400 Leclerc and 1'18”498 Vettel respectively. The Monegasque was therefore unable to improve on his morning time. At the beginning of the session the drivers had reversed the program with Charles starting the work program with Hard tires and Sebastian instead concentrating on evaluating the Medium compound. In the last part of the session, however, both drivers tested the car in race configuration with different types of tires and different fuel loads.

Plan. The cars will take to the track again at 12pm tomorrow for the last test in preparation for qualifying at 15pm. The Tuscan Grand Prix – Ferrari 1000 will start at 15.10pm on Sunday 13th.
