F1 | Ferrari, Leclerc ahead of everyone in free practice: "We can still improve"

Charles Leclerc finished in first position in free practice for the Dutch Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver started the Red 1/2 at the end of the day, confirming the expectations of recent days, i.e. how the SF21 adapts, in qualifying conditions, to the characteristics of Zandvoort. A little more difficulty on the race pace, but here it will be very important to place the best in qualifying, and for this reason today's work by the Scuderia di Maranello seems to be the right one.

“I think there is still room for improvement, but for the moment we are satisfied – Leclerc said. Obviously we shouldn't fool ourselves because it's only Friday and I have the feeling that our opponents still have potential to unleash. Today here on the track in Zandvoort I really enjoyed myself: the banked sections convey very particular sensations the first time you push over them but overall the whole track is pleasant to drive. As for the race, I don't think there will be many overtaking and therefore it will be very important to secure a good position on the starting grid. The race pace is not as good as our flying lap and this is what we will have to focus on more."
