F1 | Ferrari, Leclerc: “We have the potential to do well”

Charles Leclerc closed Friday free practice for the Spanish Grand Prix, the fifth seasonal round of the 2019 Formula One World Championship, setting the third time in 1'17"585. The Monegasque, who finished FP2 behind the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton, preceded his teammate Sebastian Vettel by less than a tenth.

Leclerc, analyzing today, said: “Today we focused mainly on evaluating our new aerodynamic package and completed the program that had been planned. We are not yet where we would like in terms of set-up but I think it is normal considering how many different things we had on the car".

He then added: "Overall I believe that the potential to do well is there and that our form is good. We are ready to push hard to put our rivals in difficulty and obtain the best result in qualifying tomorrow".
