Q1. Charles and Carlos wait a few minutes before taking to the track, considering how much the track has evolved up to this point in free practice.

Charles gets a 1'17"991, while Carlos, who finds Tsunoda's AlphaTauri in the last sector, stops the clocks at 1'18"583. Immediately afterwards Lance Stroll crashes into the barriers at the last corner and forces the race direction to display the red flag with 10 minutes to go until the end of the session.

The session restarts after a 26 minute stop. Both Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow drivers take to the track. Leclerc improves, dropping to 1'17”631, while Sainz makes a mistake in the last sector and doesn't improve.

Four minutes from the end Carlos returns to the track with new Soft tires as does Charles. Carlos improves and drops to 1'17"517 (ninth place), and is imitated by his teammate who achieves the second best time in 1'16"748.

Q2. At the start of the session the two Scuderia Ferrari drivers take to the track with Medium tyres. Charles hits 1'17”034, while Carlos makes a mistake and stops at 1'18”287, improving on the second attempt with 1'17”248. Leclerc doesn't improve (1'17”177).

Four minutes from the end they all take to the track again, new Medium tires for the Ferrari drivers but no one improves. Both enter the last phase.

Q3. The final phase begins and Charles and Carlos go out on track with new Soft tyres. Charles clocks 1'16”857, while Carlos clocks 1'17”151. Both find traffic.

Last attempt: Ferrari drivers with two sets of new Soft tyres. Sainz improves and clocks 1'16”761, valid for sixth place. Charles also improved in 1'16”837, but the position did not change: he was eighth. Tomorrow at 13pm local time (20pm CET) Sainz will start from the third row, Leclerc from the fourth.
