Q1. Carlos and Charles go on track with Soft tyres. The Spaniard achieved a first time of 1'29"178, while the Monegasque achieved 1'29"651. Both improved, dropping to 1'28”330 and 1'28”554. Five minutes from the end the SF21s return to the track with new Soft tires and improve, Carlos in 1'28”237 (P4) and Charles in 1'28”310 (P6).

Q2. In the second phase both drivers take to the track with Medium tyres. Charles clocked 1'28"612, while Carlos did not go beyond a 1'30"358 which was canceled due to exceeding the track limits in turn 4. On the second attempt Charles improved with 1'28"459, while Carlos finished in spin, brushing the wall but without damage other than a slight damage to the rear wing which, however, did not allow him to set a competitive time. This is how it ends for Sainz, he will start 15th. Charles instead enters the final phase.

Q3. Charles enters the track with new Soft tires and achieves a 1'28"481, improving on the second attempt with a fantastic 1'28"054 which earns him fourth place.
