F1 | Ferrari, Binotto on the 2021 engine: “It will be completely new”

Ferrari is ready to get back on track for next season. The flaw that characterized Ferrari's 2020 could turn into an extra weapon in view of the next championship. Mattia Binotto, discussing the future cavalry of the Red, admitted that the feedback on the engine is positive.

"At the moment we don't have the best engine, but next year we may have a completely new one – said Binotto – At Ferrari we have invested a lot in the development of the engine for 2021 and 2022. It is now on the dynamometer and I think the feedback in terms of performance and reliability is very promising".

The Italian-Swiss engineer then added: “We have limitations regarding the dynamometer for 2021, so it's up to us to be efficient and creative in how we plan testing. But I think that even though we have limitations to our operations and there is room for improvement, from what I can see today, I am satisfied with the results".
