F1 | Ferrari, Binotto on the right of veto: "We have maintained what we considered fundamental"

It was an important week regarding the future of Formula One, with all ten teams signing the new Concorde Agreement which will govern the Circus from 2021 to 2025. Ferrari was allowed to retain the right to veto, which thus allows Maranello to oppose any regulatory change or introduction.

A point on which the Cavallino fought strongly as stated by team principal Mattia Binotto, with the Italian-Swiss engineer expressing all his satisfaction for this political victory.

"We have maintained what we considered fundamental – Binotto told Sky Sports F1 –. We maintain the importance of our brand in Formula One. We retain that right of veto which is important for Ferrari for everything the team represents in the history of Formula One. Overall I am satisfied. You can exploit it or not, but we have achieved an important result".

Binotto then, analyzing the impact that the new agreement will have, added: “The 10 teams have signed, which means it's something really positive for the future of Formula One. Now I believe we have the right basis to make this sport more spectacular and stronger. We must all be united".
