F1 | Ferrari, Binotto: “Shwartzman is a fantastic driver, he deserves a seat”

Ferrari, through a short note published yesterday on social media, announced that Robert Shwartzman will be driving the F1-75 during the first free practice session of the US Grand Prix which will take place on the Austin track on October 21st .

Speaking about the current development driver of the Cavallino, Mattia Binotto praised him with the Maranello TP who admitted how important his contribution was with regards to the work on the simulator.

“Robert is a fantastic driver – declared Binotto, interviewed by the media in Monza – I think it's very fast, especially in an F1. Every time he has driven an F1 he has been very fast. There are drivers who are maybe very good in F3, F2 and then they're not good enough in F1. I think Robert is the opposite. Surely he was fantastic in F3, F2, but he is also very strong in F1. It's a shame for him that he doesn't have a place right now. This season he worked a lot on the simulator. He worked a lot helping our team in the development of the current car. I think as a driver he has improved, he has developed his skills and today he is much more mature. I think he deserves a place".
