F1 | Ferrari, Binotto: “Qualifying not perfect, tomorrow will be a very close race”

Ferrari will start from the second row in the Chinese Grand Prix, the third round of the 2019 Formula One World Championship. In qualifying in Shanghai the two SF90s, separated by just 17 thousandths, achieved the third fastest time with Sebastian Vettel and the fourth with Charles Leclerc

Commenting on the outcome of the official tests, which never saw the Reds worry the Mercedes who will start in front of everyone tomorrow, team principal Mattia Binotto said: “Today our qualifying was not perfect, and this in a championship with such close values ​​can make the difference. However, I must say that precisely because of the high level of competitiveness, it should not be surprising that those who are ahead in one race can find themselves chasing in the next.".

The Italian-Swiss engineer added: “However, we learned the hard way in Bahrain that the race is not won on Saturday and I believe that tomorrow's Grand Prix will be a hard-fought Grand Prix in which we count on being able to fight it out to the end.".
