F1 | Ferrari, Binotto: “We are not thinking about 2020”

The Hungaroring round marked the end of an insufficient first part of the season for Ferrari.

Mattia binotto, despite the fact that the Red team was unable to achieve any victory at the halfway point of 2019, it does not intend in the slightest to divert the Scuderia's attention to next year, instead focusing on the current championship.

"We have to think about 2020? No I do not think so – underlined the Cavallino team principal -. Not only because we will have the same regulations, but also because whatever we can do this year will be a good advantage for next year's car too".

"There are still many races and we have to think about doing our best by the end of this season. We are definitely looking for more downforce and in the second half of the season we will put as much downforce as possible on the car and next year's car will require even more.”, admitted Binotto.

Concluding he added: “We know that our rivals are also developing their future cars with more downforce, so we cannot consider today's gap as the only objective".
