F1 | Ferrari, Binotto: “We have no chance of winning in Australia”

Mattia binotto Ferrari would have no chance of victory in the Australian Grand Prix, the opening race of the new season which will take place on Sunday 15 March on the street track of Albert Park in Melbourne. In fact, according to its team principal, the Cavallino should resolve all the problems that emerged during the six days of testing at Montmeló before assuming a success for the SF1000.

"I don't think we will be able to win in Australia – declared Binotto, quoted by Crash.net -. Obviously every team has its problems, some with reliability, others with lack of performance, but on a race weekend anything can happen. But today we are not fast enough to be up there. As Ferrari we have only one goal. If you are not reaching it, you cannot be relieved".

Binotto then, completing his speech, added: “We are not hiding, this is our real performance at the moment. Only after the first three races will we have a clearer picture. The pressure is there. Pressure should be seen as motivation, not drama. The overall performance needs to be improved, the power unit, even the tuning. I don't think there is just one area we need to focus on, but on all of them".
