F1 | Ferrari, Binotto: “We struggled more in the race”

The world debut for Ferrari ends with sixth place for Leclerc and eighth for Sainz. In Bahrain the Red team certainly showed good growth compared to last year's disaster, but the feeling is that there is still work to be done before being able to compete on an equal footing with the top of the mid-pack. Mattia Binotto is still satisfied, aware that he still has 22 races ahead of him before the end of the season, we are only at the beginning.

“It was an intense race – said the Ferrari team principal. This was the first of twenty-three stages of a very long season and we must face them one at a time with determination and clarity, as we did this weekend. We struggled more in the race than in qualifying, but we collected good indications and the analysis will allow us to understand the areas for improvement. There is a long way to go but we will continue to work hard to grow in every aspect. Now we will start to think about the next round, that of Imola, which has a particular flavor for us given that it is, together with Monza, our home race".
