F1 | Ferrari, Binotto: “A long and bumpy journey awaits us”

The Ferrari team principal introduced the season by presenting himself in the beautiful and evocative victory room of the Ferrari museum.

“Welcome to Ferrari, we are in the victory room of our museum – Binotto began. Here is the history, our roots, the awareness of our responsibilities of being part of this unique team, the only one to have participated in all editions of the Formula 1 world championship since 1950. 2021 will be an important year, we there will be many challenges for us: first of all the car, which comes from last year's partially frozen one; then we will have a budget cap, for the first time there will therefore be an expense ceiling to be faced with determination, an exercise that is anything but trivial; we will have a new pair of drivers and many challenges, like the 2022 car, still to be designed: a car that will be totally new in its shapes and technical challenges."

“A long and bumpy road awaits us – admits the team principal. There will be a time when we will make mistakes, some inevitable, others intolerable. The important thing is that, as a team, we learn from mistakes and continue to grow with the right spirit. Formula 1 is a particular sport: it is a team sport, but it materializes in the performance of two individuals, namely the drivers. They are the ones who grip the steering wheel and with their feet accelerate, brake and try to anticipate their opponents' moves, and somehow with their heads they draw the best trajectories and who also take the car beyond the limit both in qualifying and in the race." .
