F1 | Felipe Massa on the future: "Either I stay at Williams or I leave"

Felipe Massa has very clear ideas about his future: if he were to remain in Formula One, even in 2018, he would only do so in Williams.

If the Grove team were to instead opt for a driver other than the Brazilian (Stroll confirmed, Wehrlein and Kubica are also in the running for the other seat), he would end his professional relationship with Formula One at the end of the Abu Grand Prix Dhabi which will take place on November 26th.

“I have few options on the table for 2018 if I want to continue in F1: Williams or nothing – the Brazilian highlighted to the Irish website Eirsport.ie - Unless something surprising doesn't happen, as happened last year with Rosberg who surprised everyone by announcing his retirement. But I don't think a similar situation can happen again. I haven't spoken to any other teams: either I stay with Williams or I will retire in Abu Dhabi."

On a possible arrival in another motorsport series, such as Formula E, Massa said: “I don't know, I still have to talk to Williams and then I'll decide what to do".
