According to the former F1 owner, the season will be able to take place even if the question mark over the lockdowns remains
This is the point of view of the former Formula 1 leader regarding the possibility of competing in a championship with at least eight events. According to Bernie Ecclestone, this is feasible but there could be travel problems; Liberty Medium instead he has as his goal 15 to 18 races:
"Formula 1 should be able to do at least eight races - commented the Briton to the Sunday Express - but everything will depend on whether some teams have the possibility to leave Italy or not, as well as the tire supplier (Pirelli, ed.)”.
A team principal who wished to remain anonymous told Auto Motor und Sport that eight races are not feasible:
“We risk losing a large sum of money, our travel and logistics costs would exceed our revenue.”
