F1 | “Drive to Survive”: Formula 1 lands on Netflix

After several months of silence, Netflix has confirmed the launch date of "Formula 1: Drive to Survive", the new docuseries focused on the most famous motorsport category in the world.

The series, which will consist of 10 episodes, will be broadcast on the well-known streaming platform starting from March 8 and is made up of 10 episodes, which aim to provide a new perspective on what happens behind the scenes in the world of Formula 1, more direct access than ever before. To succeed in this aim, James Gay Rees and his staff, producer of the series and already executive producer of appreciated documentaries such as "Senna", closely followed the entire 2018 world championship, interacting with all those teams who had given their availability to participate in the series. A series that seems to recall, albeit in a different way, the one created by Amazon in collaboration with McLaren, which however focused on the winter preparation for the 2017 season and on the difficult relationship between the English team and Honda.

Ian Holmes, Director of Media Rights at F1, commented on the arrival of this new series: “As we move into a new era of Formula 1, we are thrilled to announce our new docuseries “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” . This series embodies the sport and helps us reveal the untold stories on and off the track. Partnering with Netflix to create an original series puts us at the forefront of becoming an entertainment brand to attract new fans to the sport.”
