F1 | McLaren disaster in Canada: no pace, reliability problems and hair-raising pit stops

Canadian Grand Prix absolutely to forget for McLaren. The historic team from Woking did not take home a single point from Montreal, and the blame falls on the entire team, without exception, with the MCL36 full of problems throughout the weekend both in terms of pace and reliability. Big trouble also in the pits, with the mechanics not understanding anything about the double pit stop by Ricciardo and Norris.

“A very disappointing Sunday afternoon – said Andreas Seidl, McLaren team principal. It was a difficult weekend overall: the car lacks pace, has reliability problems and the double pit stop went terribly wrong during the Virtual Safety Car. We must recognize that our rivals did better and therefore we did not deserve to score points. We didn't give Lando and Daniel the car they deserved, so we have to apologize to them. We must seize this opportunity to learn and return stronger than before in two weeks at our Silverstone."
