F1 | De La Rosa on the spy story: "Alonso was accused without reason"
De La Rosa: "Alonso was wrongly accused"
Interviewed by the Spanish press, Pedro De La Rosa he returned to the story relating to the "spy story", underlining how Fernando Alonso was accused without apparent reason.
According to the former pilot of McLaren, the issue was greatly exaggerated in 2007, an aspect that led to the FIA to exaggerate the measurements. An interesting and absolutely curious statement, given the evidence collected by the FIA and Ferrari during the investigation.
“I still have nightmares that keep me up at night,” said the Spaniard. “I don't understand why they fined us $100 million. There was a theory going around that we were building a car like the Ferrari. We actually didn't want to exploit this information or build a car like theirs."
Su Alonso ha aggiunto: “Fernando is a very critical guy, he always says what he thinks. I think he was accused of the Spy Story for no reason."
