F1 | Damon Hill: “Schumacher wasn't kind to me, but I forgive him”
The message four years after Schumi's accident: "It's definitely a shame, because we could have known each other better. A real shame"
Michael Schumacher e Damon Hill were rivals in formula 1 in the 90's. When Hill won the world title in 1996, for him it was the fourth year in Williams while for the seven-time world champion it was his first season with the Ferrari.
The challenge between Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher was already coming in the seasons 1994 e 1995, when the German won and the English closed behind him. The clashes between the two were famous, both on and off the track, as happened in Adelaide in 1994 and in other races the following year. During the 90s their rivalry was clearly on track. But despite the various challenges on the single-seaters, the fight for the title and some clashes between the two, Hill's biggest reshuffle was that of not having deepened his knowledge of Schumi: "He wasn't very kind to me, but I pardon! It's a shame for sure, because we could have gotten to know each other better. A real shame,” commented Damon Hill on Twitter, talking about Schumacher four years after his accident in the French Alps.
He wasn't quite so kind to me! But I forgive him. Shame we never got to get to know one another better. Great shame. @ MassaFelipe19 @schumacher #F1 #KeepfightingMichael https://t.co/0KZB7aKGac
