F1 | Sensational FIA: Todt ready to carry out further investigations into Vettel's behavior in Baku
Risk of disqualification for the Ferrari German
According to what was reported by Auto Motor Und Sport today, Jean Todt could carry out further investigations into the behavior of Sebastian Vettel during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the eighth round of the 2017 Formula One world championship. The President of the International Automobile Federation would not have appreciated the German's swerve towards Lewis Hamilton, judging the gesture as unsportsmanlike and unsuitable for safety on the track, and for this reason the issue could end up directly on the table of the FIA Sports Tribunal . The risk? From a simple fine (the most likely option if the trial is started) up to a disqualification, unrelated to the point-based driving licence.
Michael Schmidt underlined that the issue is currently being evaluated and that there could be some sensational news within a few days. We just have to wait and see how this dispute will evolve, but one thing is certain: the Hamilton-Vettel duel could flare up even off the track.
