F1 | Claire Williams: “The atmosphere within the team is good”

Williams is trying to rebuild a history worthy of the name it bears after the poor performance of 2018, when between Sirotkin and Stroll it managed to scrape together under 7 points in the championship, finishing in last place and 26 points behind Toro Rosso. “The atmosphere within the team is really good – said Claire Williams at RACER. Everyone is working very hard, obviously we have a plan in place on the development of the cars which has been underway for some time and will probably have to wait a little longer. We have to be patient to see where others are at, so it is difficult to judge the progress we have made up to this point. We're still happy to have resolved some of last year's key issues, but our recovery is still a work in progress. Besides the development of the car, there is a lot of other work behind it business-wise, we need to make sure everything is in place and suitable for our purpose. We are therefore doing a great job to ensure that everything is set up in the right way and to ensure that our recovery plan goes according to plan."
