F1 | Charles Leclerc is the “Driver of the Day” of the Canadian GP
The Monegasque rewarded by the fans at the end of the race in Montreal
Charles Leclerc is the "Driver of the Day" of the last Canadian Grand Prix, the ninth round of the 2022 Formula 1 world championship. Starting from penultimate place due to the installation of the fourth power unit of the season in the car, the Monegasque managed to move up the ranking up to fifth place, getting the most out of a difficult and uphill weekend right from the first free practice on Friday.
Max Verstappen's victory in Montreal further complicates the chase towards the title, given that the Dutchman's lead in the standings has reached 46 points, but the Monegasque will fly to Silverstone in two weeks with the knowledge that he has a competitive car in his hands and able to have their say in victory.
